Please remember that our brothers and sisters at the Sunoco Refineries in Marcus Hook and South Philadelphia are fighting for a fair contract. The issue is safe staffing levels at both facilities, Sunoco wants to run the refineries at full capacity and cut staffing levels at the same time. This is a risk to both the employees and the surrounding communities. Remember the BP refinery in Texas City. Locals 10-1 and 10-901 contracts were set to expire at noon today. There was an agreement reached on a 24 hour extension. On Thursday February 26 a rally was held in Philadelphia. Gary Holland and Phil Hughes attended, along with over 500 other members from both the USW and other Unions in support o Safe staffing levels at the Sunoco facilities.
