USW 10-00086,
The Power of Solidarity
Solidarity Is defined as unity or agreement of feeling or action, especially among individuals with a common interest. As USW 10-00086 siblings, our common interest lies in the right to bargain collectively for the best contract possible to make working and eventually retiring from Merck the best experience possible. The best way to achieve this goal is by standing united and strong together. Throughout history, right up to today, we have the evidence that a group united can achieve great things for workers. The benefit of standing together means that we are not alone, we know that we can rely on our officers, our shop stewards, committee leaders, and each other to support and represent how we feel when it comes to our lives in the workplace. Over the last few years we have seen the power of solidarity manifest itself in outstanding ways for the UAW, SAG-AFTRA, Starbucks workers, Univ. of Pittsburg and so many more places. Local 10-00086 will be next. Stand together! Union Strong!

I started at Merck in July 2020 in B62 Varicella. I was on 3rd shift there for 4 years before recently switching over to B60. I’ve mainly been in buffer so far, but I’m looking forward to learning more.
What I love the most about being in our union is the benefits and job security. I am the sole provider for my family, and knowing my job is protected brings me peace of mind. My wife and I have no trouble getting medical care with our plan, and having both a pension and a 401k is a blessing.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and dog. We watch an almost shameful amount of TV (especially Eagles games) and hang out in the yard while my dog has the zoomies. On my own, I am currently learning Italian and how to play guitar. I love sitcoms, pop punk music, video games, Disney, tattoos, and podcasts. Don’t get me started because I will talk for hours.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our union members! We’re grateful for your hard work, dedication, and solidarity. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and healthy holiday filled with warmth, happiness, and great food. 🍂🦃 Together, we’re stronger!
In Solidarity,
Local 10-00086

Sisters, Brothers, and Siblings,

Please see the attached Flyer for our Next Generation Committee’s Manna on Main 50/50 raffle!

50% of the money raised goes to the charity and 50% is split among 2 winners. After we pull for the money, we will continue to pull tickets for USW swag giveaways (such as shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc.). We do the raffle in conjunction with the food/toiletry drive since Manna does so much more than give food. The money is also used to buy perishable items and support struggling families.

WE ACCEPT CASH, VENMO, CASHAPP, PAYPAL, AND ZELLE!

I (Stasi) can also do ticket sales over text/DM/phone!

We have multiple sellers across plant site:

Stasi Adams (B60)

Sydney Edwards (B60)

Katie D’Hustler (B12)

Angelena Pendleton (B28/36)

Anthony Sloan (38)

Johnny Beidler (B29)

Jimmy Beidler (D173 Clerk)

Daryl Bailey (Labs)

Thank you to my USW siblings who help out, support, and donate! We could not do these fundraisers without our membership!

Thanks Again!
