The Medical Fund Trustees have been informed Highmark has processed some of our medical claims incorrectly by coding them out of network when they were in network.
This took place the first three weeks of July, it has been corrected and the Trustees were told that Highmark was taking steps to correct the issue before any invoices were sent to our members.
That didn’t happen, we were informed today some invoices were mailed to our members. If you receive an invoice for medical services from July 1st through July19th 2022 DO NOT PAY THE INVOICE. You will be receiving a letter from Richard Gabriel associates explaining what happens next. If you do not receive a letter from Richard Gabriel Associates and your medical services were truly out of network I suggest you double check with Horizon before paying your invoice. 1-888-444-8014
