USW Sisters and Brothers,

I consulted with our International Rep and polled the Executive Board in regards to holding our membership meeting next Monday. The Executive Board’s decision to cancel was unanimous.

With positive cases and ring fencing drastically increasing on site as well outside the gates of Merck we believe this is the best thing to do at this time.

We don’t take this decision lightly. We understand the value of membership meetings. At this point the risk outweighs the value.

Union Leadership in conjunction with the Communication Committee will continue share information with the membership on a regular basis.

Hopefully we get back to normal sooner rather than later.
